Folk Tale week 2022

FOOL

Based on a story from Newcastle upon tyne about a lady that finds a sack of gold, and starts lugging it home. Then the sack becomes lighter while she's carrying it and the gold has become silver. She decides it's still worth trying to get the sack home. The sack became lighter again and the silver had become coal. She again decides that it's still worth taking the coal home. The sack then changes one last time changing into pebbles, and then the pebbles change into a creature that runs off laughing.

Not sure who the fool is in this story. Probably me.

TREE

Based on the sycamore gap tree in Northumberland. You know one of the most famous trees in film. Probably, I haven't actually fact-checked that.

STAR

Have a Crow beast thing that controls the starts.
I don't know what he does with the stars.
Probably roasts marshmallows. What else do you do with an incredibly large nuclear explosion that can be seen from the other side of the galaxy?

REBEL

I don’t like abstract prompts. Also, the character thing accidentally turned into a rat. Which I guess makes sense, considering the creature it was based on is a changeling.

COSTUME

He is dancing with the folky dogs. In a costume. Makes absolutely perfect sense.

POTION

VICTORY

I may need to revise my definition of victory.

I was also having a hypo while drawing this so that probably didn't help.
